KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 19, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) review and <br />approve Grant Agreements for 2018 allocating Homelessness and <br />Affordable Housing funds to help address homelessness and housing <br />needs in Kittitas County. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The HAHC received five Grant Applications requesting funding for <br />homelessness and affordable housing projects. The committee <br />submitted clarifying questions to the applicants and invited them to an <br />open public meeting on 9-20-17 to address these questions. The <br />HAHC reviewed the supplemental information provided by the <br />applicants and recommended to the BOCC allocating up to <br />$500,000.00 towards the Homelessness and Affordable Housing <br />grants; ($400,000.00 from the Homelessness account and $100,000.00 <br />from the Affordable Housing account). <br /> <br />INTERACTION: During the BOCC regularly scheduled Agenda Meeting on 10-17-17, <br />the BOCC approved allocating up to $500,000.00 towards the <br />Homelessness and Affordable Housing grants; $400,000.00 from the <br />Homelessness account and $100,000.00 from the Affordable Housing <br />account. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Review and approve Grant Agreements for 2018 projects allocating <br />Homelessness and Affordable Housing funds to help address <br />homelessness and housing needs in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: HAHC Recommendation <br /> Grant Agreements with Attachments <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Debbie Myers, Clerk <br /> Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
