AGENDA DATE: December 19, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Consider reappointments or NEW appointments to
the following County Boards, Committee’s and
Commissions: Airport Advisory Committee;
Behavioral Health and Recovery Advisory Board;
Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee;
Fair Board; Kittitas County Homelessness &
Affordable Housing Committee and the TV Dist.
Board.
BACKGROUND: Currently the County has multiple vacancies on its
volunteer Boards, Committee’s and Commissions.
Staff advertised in June of 2017 & September 2017
for upcoming and current vacancies.
INTERACTION: Staff published notice of vacancies through the
County’s Press Release application which sends
notice to the Daily Record, the County website and
its subscribers as well as KXLE Radio.
RECOMMENDATION:
Consider the Reappointments of John Smith
for a two year term & Dale Rusho, for a 3
year term (terms ending 12/31/2017) to the
Kittitas County Airport Advisory Board
effective 1/1/2018 and to expire 12/31/ 2019
- Smith & 1/1/2018 and expiring 12/31/2020
- Rusho.
Consider the Reappointment of Joy
Stochosky (term ending 12/31/2017), for a 3
year term to the Kittitas County Behavioral
Health and Recovery Advisory Board
effective 1.1.2018 and to expire 12/31/2020.
Consider the Reappointment of Toby
Allphin (term ending 12/31/2017), for a 3
year term to the Kittitas County
Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board
effective 1.1.2018 and expiring on
12/31/2020.
Consider the Reappointments of Heather
Harrell, Greg Zempel, C.L. Clarke, Jessie
Blackwood, Robert Martin, Bret Hollar
(terms ending 12/31/2017) to the Kittitas
County Fair Board for a 3 year term
effective 1.1.2018 and expiring on
12/31/2020.
Consider the Reappointment of Jack Frost,
(term ending 12/31/2017) for a 2 year term
to the Kittitas County Homelessness &
Affordable Housing Committee effective
1.1.2018 and expiring 12/31/2019.
Consider the Reappointments of Gerald
Brong (Jerry) & Samuel D. Garrett (terms
ending 12/31/2017) for 3 year terms to the
Kittitas County TV Improvement Dist.,
effective 1/1/2018 and to expire on
1/1/2020.
Consider the NEW Appointment of Deanna
(Dede) Utley for a 3 year term to the Kittitas
County Behavioral Health & Recovery
Advisory Board effective 1.1.2018 and
expiring 12/31/2020.
HANDLING: Staff to notify members of their reappointments
and new appointments to the following County
Boards, Committee’s and Commissions: Airport
Advisory Committee; Behavioral Health and
Recovery Advisory Board; Developmental
Disabilities Advisory Committee; Fair Board;
Kittitas County Homelessness & Affordable
Housing Committee and the TV Dist. Board, and to
update the website to reflect new terms.
