KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />December 5, 2017 <br />Formulate the Flood Control Zone District Advisory <br />Committee and Appoint Initial Committee Members <br />BACKGROUND: In 2016, the Board of County Commissioners gave <br />direction to Public Works staff to prepare a public outreach <br />campaign soliciting Flood Control Zone District (FCZD) <br />rate payers for participating in a District advisory <br />committee. The committee will assist the FCZD <br />Administrator develop the annual capital facility plan for <br />the District and advise on annual work program elements. <br />Two public outreach meetings were held in the summer of <br />2017 and a targeted mailing sent to rate payers' fall of <br />2017. Sufficient applications have been received meeting <br />the Boards desire staffing the committee with two <br />representatives from District 1, three from District 2 and <br />two from District 3. <br />The attached resolution formulates the FCZD Advisory <br />Committee and appoints the initial members to the <br />committee. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Formulate the FCZD Advisory Committee and appoint <br />initial committee members. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Resolution Formulating the FCZD Advisory <br />Committee and Appointing Initial Committee Members <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
