Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br />Fax (509) 962-7682 <br /> <br />“Building Partnerships – Building Communities” <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 7, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set Closed Record Meeting to Consider Marian Meadows <br />Planned Unit Development (PD-17-00001), Conditional Use Permit (CU-17- <br />00001), and Plat (LP-17-00001) <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Marian Meadows is a proposed planned unit development, conditional use permit, <br />and plat that includes subdivision of 445.42 acres into 89 residential lots, as well as <br />RV storage, RV park, campground facilities, community center, athletic courts, and a <br />pool. The applicant also proposes community retail and an RV service center subject <br />to a future development agreement. The subject property is located off of East <br />Sparks Road approximately seven miles northwest of Roslyn in portions of Sections <br />1 and 12, Township 20 North, Range 13 East, WM in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />On October 12, 2017, the Kittitas County Hearing Examiner conducted an open <br />record hearing on above-referenced applications. On October 24, 2017, the Hearing <br />Examiner issued a recommendation of approval for the property, including <br />recommended findings of fact, conclusions of law, and conditions of approval. <br />According to KCC 15A.01.040(3)(a), the decision-making process of the Board shall <br />consist of a pubic meeting or meetings wherein the Board reviews the written record <br />from the Hearing Examiner and issues a written decision in resolution or ordinance <br />form. During such meeting(s), appropriate county staff will present the record to the <br />board, providing information as necessary to ensure county code compliance. No new <br />comment or information will be allowed by the board during the decision -making <br />process. <br /> <br />Staff is requesting that the Board of Commissioners set a closed record meeting for <br />November 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. to consider the Marian Meadows Planned Unit <br />Development, Conditional Use Permit, and Plat applications. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: CDS, Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: None <br /> <br />STAFF <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set closed record meeting to consider the Marian Meadows Planned Unit <br />Development, Conditional Use Permit, and Plat applications for November 21, 2017 <br />at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Auditorium <br /> <br />HANLDING: None <br /> <br />RESPONSIBLE STAFF: Dan Carlson, AICP, Community Development Services Director
