Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Agenda Date: October 17, 2017 <br /> <br />Action Requested: <br />Request to adopt a Resolution to cancel various Claims Fund warrants in <br />the amount of $1,008.55 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br />We have outstanding warrants (check) for 2015totaling $1,008.55. The <br />checks have not been cashed and notices have been sent to all payees <br />and returned undeliverable. We have attempted to locate the owners <br />the warrant to no avail. <br /> <br />According to state law RCW 63.29 we are required to remit the <br />outstanding warrants to Washington State Department of Revenue <br />Unclaimed Property Division. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: Request to adopt a Resolution to cancel various Claims Fund warrants in <br />the amount of $1,008.55. <br /> <br />Handling: Return one original to Judy Pless <br /> <br />Lead Staff Judy Pless, Budget and Finance Manager <br />
