Action Requested:
Request approval of the Community Development Block Grant (HUD) Fair Housing Resolution
Background:
In order for the County to remain compliant with the grant requirements for the Community
Development Block Grants (CDBG) which are passed through from the federal office of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD), we must pass a Fair housing resolution. The language is from
CDBG, and the County Contact person will be the Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners. This resolution will become effective up signing.
CDBG requires that the Fair Housing Resolution be published and or posted on County website.
Recommendation
Recommend the Board of County Commissioners adopt the Community Development Block
Grant (HUD) Fair Housing Resolution, naming the Chairman of the Board as the County’s
contact and that this resolution is posted on the County’s website.
Handling
Send a Signed resolution to Judy Pless. Judy will ensure this gets on the website and send a copy
to CDBG.
