<br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 5, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) sign a <br />Resolution allocating up to $165,000.00 of Hotel/Motel Funds <br />towards the 2018 Lodging Tax Fund Grants Program for Special <br />Events and Projects. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) met in an open public <br />meeting on August 23, 2017 and voted to recommend to the BOCC <br />allocating up to $165,000.00 of Hotel/Motel tax funds for the 2018 <br />Events/Projects grants. The City of Ellensburg is allocating <br />$36,400.00; City of Cle Elum is allocating $8,000.00; City of Roslyn <br />is allocating $2,000.00; for a total consolidated amount available for <br />2018 Lodging Tax Events/Projects Grant of up to $211,400.00. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Cities of Ellensburg, Roslyn and Cle Elum along with Kittitas <br />County have an Interlocal Agreement in place to identify a <br />Consolidated Lodging Tax Work Group which reviews and rates each <br />Events/Projects application and recommends funding to the governing <br />bodies.
