AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: September 5, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Consider the appointment of Ann Anderson to
the Kittitas County Airport Advisory Board as
the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce
Representative and Reappoint Marlene Pfeifer
to the Realtor position, for two year terms.
BACKGROUND: Currently there are 4 vacancies on the Airport
Advisory Board, one that is a representative of
the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and
one that is a representative of the Realtors of
Kittitas County.
INTERACTION: On March 28, 2017 Public Works received a
letter from the Chamber of Commerce CEO
Jim Armstrong requesting the Board of County
Commissioners consider the appointment. On
August 16, 2017 the BoCC received a copy of
the letter from the Chamber CEO asking the
County to consider appointing Ms. Anderson.
On October 3, 2016 Staff sent out
reappointment letters to Boards Committee’s
and Commission members with terms about to
expire. On August 21, 2017 Staff received an e-
mail from Ms. Pfeifer indicating that she had
faxed in her request. Staff let her know it
wasn’t received and asked her to respond with
her desire to be reappointed.
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Ms. Ann Anderson to the Airport
Advisory Board for a two year term effective
immediately through December 31st, 2018 (as
she is fulfilling a previous members term).
Reappoint Marlene Pfeifer to the Airport
Advisory Board as a representative to the
Realtors in the County.
HANDLING: Deputy Clerk of the Board to notify applicants
and the Kittitas County Airport Advisory Board
of the BoCC’s decision. Staff to update the
County website.
