WHEREAS, in 1992 the State of Washington set the fees that are to be charged
by the County Sheriff for performing of.Clcial services at RC.W 36.18.040(1);
WHEREAS, since 1992 the Sheriffs actual cost of administratio-n and operation
to provide those services has increased si&mi,ticalidy;
WHEREAS, RCW 36.18.040(3) authorizes the Board of County Commissioners to
set the amount of fees that shall be collected by the Sheriff in order to cover the costs of
administration and opor•ation;
WHEREAS, die cost of services provided by the Sheriffshould be ;dally paid by
the parties benefiting from such services alid should riot be stibsidized by the Sheriff at
the expanse of the SherifPs public safety mission, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has exami-red tkze cost of admit-stra•tion and operation of
serviom provided by the Sheriff and has requested that the Board of County
Conun.issioners aotundor autharity ofRCW 36.15.040 to hicrease Sherifffees.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissionors does hereby rosolve
and establish the following:
SCHEDULE OF SHE REPT Is FEES
The I6ttitas County Sholif'fs shall colleot the .following fees for services:

2. For making a return besides rxnileage acttiiaily traveled, ten dollars for each retrirn of
service;
3. For lovyinng each writ of attachment: Or writ: of execution upon real er personal
property, besides innileage, fifty dolhirs per hour;
4. For filita,,g copy of welt of atta.chtrrent or writ of execution with auditor, twenty dollars
plus auditor's filing fee;
5. For serving writ of possession or restitution Without aid of the CQ'Unty, besides
rnnileage, forty dollars;
6. For serving writ of possession or restitution with aid of the county, besides mileage,
suety dollars plus fifty dollars for each hour after ono hour;
7. For serving an arrest warrant in any action or proceeding, besides mileage, .fifty
dollars;
8. For oxecnting any o't'her wri-t or process in a civil action or proceeding, besides
raileago, fifty dollars per hour; t ..
9, .For each mile actually an.d .necemar ly traveled in going to our returning fi-om any
place of service, or attempted service, fl,Cty cents per mile with a ten dollar nnirninnurn

10, For malcing a deed to lands sold upon executaorn or order of sale or other doureo of
court, to be paid by tho purchaser, fifty dollars;
11. For making copies of papers when sufficient copies are not :hrnrished, two dollars for
first page and one dollar per each individual page;
12. ,For the service of any other document and support papers for which no other foci is
provided herein, twonty five dollars;
13. For posting a notice of sale, or postponen1ent, fifteen dollars besides mileage;
14. For certificate or bill of sale ofp,roporty, or certificate o•l. rodon ptlon, fifty dollars;
15, For cornductirag a We of property, forty dollars ,per hour spent at a Sheriff s We;
16, For notarizing documents, five dollars for each document;
