KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: October 4, 2016 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Deny Claim of Andrea Eklund. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The claimant, Andrea Eklund (“Ms. Eklund”) claims damages of <br />$626.61 to repair a cracked auto window allegedly caused by a piece <br />of gravel on the road that was kicked into the air by another vehicle. <br />There is no evidence any county vehicles or personnel were involved <br />in this. Ms. Eklund states the gravel was in the road as a result of <br />“chip seal” operations. Kittitas County Claim # 201707250047. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: As stated above, there is no evidence County vehicles or personnel <br />were involved in this incident. There is no evidence of any County <br />negligence related to this incident. <br /> <br /> Public Works recommends denial of this claim.
