AGENDA DATE: August 15, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Consider the reappointment of Urban Eberhart
& Ben Kern to the Kittitas County Horticultural
Pest and Disease Board.
BACKGROUND: As of June 30, 2017 there are 3 vacant
positions on the Horticultural Pest & Disease
Board. Staff sent letters on June 14, 2017
notifying members that their terms will be
expiring soon.
INTERACTION: On August 2, 2017 the BoCC received notice
from Mr. Eberhart (also submitted on behalf of
Mr. Kern) requesting the Board reappoint them
both for another term.
RECOMMENDATION: Reappoint retroactively (suggested by Mr.
Eberhart as he has signed documents between
now and the time his term expired) Ben Kern
and Urban Eberhart for another two year term.
HANDLING: Deputy Clerk of the Board to notify the Mr.
Kern and Mr. Eberhart and the Kittitas County
Horticultural Pest and Disease Board of the
BoCC’s decision, as well as update the County
website.
