KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 15, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Consider the reappointment of Urban Eberhart <br />& Ben Kern to the Kittitas County Horticultural <br />Pest and Disease Board. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: As of June 30, 2017 there are 3 vacant <br />positions on the Horticultural Pest & Disease <br />Board. Staff sent letters on June 14, 2017 <br />notifying members that their terms will be <br />expiring soon. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On August 2, 2017 the BoCC received notice <br />from Mr. Eberhart (also submitted on behalf of <br />Mr. Kern) requesting the Board reappoint them <br />both for another term. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Reappoint retroactively (suggested by Mr. <br />Eberhart as he has signed documents between <br />now and the time his term expired) Ben Kern <br />and Urban Eberhart for another two year term. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Deputy Clerk of the Board to notify the Mr. <br />Kern and Mr. Eberhart and the Kittitas County <br />Horticultural Pest and Disease Board of the <br />BoCC’s decision, as well as update the County <br />website. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Letter from Kern & Eberhart <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II
