AGENDA DATE: August 15, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and
maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles
purchased in 2017.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is purchasing bumper to bumper
service warranties and extended maintenance warranties that will save the county money
over the life expectancy of the vehicles (five years for the SUVs and six years for the
trucks). These plans cover the costs of all maintenance and repairs, excluding tires and
collisions. We are proactively tracking and documenting the cost savings for our vehicle
fleet.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved
this set of warranty contracts.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and
maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles
purchased in 2017.
HANDLING: Please return one set of originals to the Sheriff’s Office to provide to the
vendor for their records.
