ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Consolidated Contract for Juvenile Court Programs
BACKGROUND: The Department of Social and Health Services Juvenile Justice and Rehabilitation Administration administers juvenile offender programs funded by the State for Washington
State Juvenile Court interventions resultant from youth being found guilty of offenses. This County Program Agreement sets the parameters for the interventions available by statute
for that purpose.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office has reviewed and approved as to form the contract.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Chair’s signature to obligate the funding aspect of the document leaving room for the administrative authority of the court, i.e. the Presiding Judge of the
Superior Court room to also sign.
HANDLING: Request signed documents be returned to JCA to pursue DSHS signature and subsequent return of an original fully executed document to the BOCC for County records.
