AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: August 01, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) consider the
recommendation list from the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee
(LTAC) regarding the Tourism-Related, Small-Scale Municipality-
Owned Capital Projects and Operations Applications.
BACKGROUND: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) met in an open public
meeting on July 13, 2017 and reviewed and rated the Tourism-
Related, Small-Scale Municipality-Owned Capital Projects and
Operations Grant Applications. The LTAC voted to forward the four
grant applications which received a minimum score of 75 points and
above to the BOCC to consider for funding.
INTERACTION: The LTAC also voted to recommend allocating $207,000 for the
County’s Grant funding request with eight different components; with
structured language in the Forest Service Agreement for deliverables;
and language in the Agreement with the Town to Teanaway project
with the understanding that the County is willing to help with the plan
structure, but may not necessarily approve of the plan.
RECOMMENDATION: Request the BOCC consider the recommendation list from the LTAC
regarding the Small-scale, municipality-owned capital project and
Operations grant applications for funding.
