KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: July 18, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between Washington Traffic Safety Commission and the Kittitas <br />County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) supports the <br />Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program by providing funds for overtime work to <br />perform drug evaluation activities of registered DREs. The WTSC has agreed to fund <br />overtime for DREs who enter this partnership by virtue of a Memorandum of <br />Understanding for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: This Interlocal Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding was <br />reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between Washington Traffic Safety Commission and the Kittitas <br />County Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please send two originals back to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office, <br />which will forward a fully executed original to the BOCC for its records once we receive <br />it back from the grantor. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command staff
