KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: June 6, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards Signature on Resolution to Reject all bids for <br />Removal and disposal of County owned mobile homes. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County purchased the Shady brook mobile home park <br />and several trailers. Many of the County owned trailers are <br />vacant and in disrepair. <br /> <br /> The County went out to bid and received three bids for the <br />removal of the county owned trailers. When working on <br />documents for a professional service agreement with the low <br />bidder it was found that the insurance limits required for this <br />project were not in the RFP. The limits necessary for this <br />project exceeds the contractor’s normal limits and would <br />require an additional expense. <br /> <br /> During this time the scope of the project has also doubled in <br />size so it is found to be in the best interest of the county to <br />reject all bids and prepare new bid document. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Commissioners office, and Prosecutors office,. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend the Boards signature on the resolution to reject all <br />bids. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Turned signed copy <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Johnson <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
