PROCLAMATION
“Tia Hill Day”
June 13, 2017
2A State Track & Field Champion – 300 Meter Hurdles
WHEREAS: Tia Hill is currently a junior at Ellensburg High School and a leader amongst the Ellensburg High School
Girls Track & Field team; and
WHEREAS: Prior to this track season Tia had never participated in the 300 Meter Hurdle event before, and with her hard
work and commitment to training in the off season, she had exceptional performances in all of her events;
and
WHEREAS: On Saturday May 27, 2017 Tia placed 1st at the 2A State Track & Field Championships in the Girls 300
Meter Hurdles in Tacoma, Washington with a time of 44.64 seconds; and
WHEREAS: Tia should be recognized for her hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport of track & field while
representing her teammates, family, Ellensburg High School, and all residents of Kittitas County;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners asks the citizens of Kittitas County to join
them in celebrating and honoring Tia Hill and her 2A State Track & Field Championship Title for the Girls 300 Meter Hurdles
by Proclaiming June 13, 2017 as “Tia Hill Day” in Kittitas County.
ADOPTED this 6th day of June 2017.
