<br /> <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />“Nick Baker Day” – June 16, 2017 <br />1A Individual Boys Golf State Champion <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Nick Baker is currently a senior at Cle Elum/Roslyn High School and a leader of the boys golf team; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Over the past four years Nick has qualified for the State Golf Tournament and out of those four years he has <br />won the Individual State Championship Title three times in 2015, 2016, and 2017; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Nick first held a golf club at the age of 2 and began playing competitively at 12. He is an athlete known by <br />his coaches for being a fierce competitor, a great student, with an exceptional talent for golf; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Nick scored a 71 in both rounds of the 1A State Golf Tournament on May 23 & 24, 2017 at the Sun Willows <br />Golf Course in Pasco, Washington; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Nick is ending his high school golf career as a 3-time State Champion and should be recognized for his hard <br />work, dedication and commitment to the sport of golf all while representing the Cle Elum/Roslyn School <br />District, his family, and community members in Kittitas County; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners asks the citizens of Kittitas County to join <br />them in celebrating and honoring Nick Baker and his 1A Individual State Championship Title for Boys Golf by Proclaiming <br />June 16, 2017 as “Nick Baker Day” in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 20th day of June 2017. <br />THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br /> Paul Jewell, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Obie O’Brien, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
