AGENDA DATE: June 6, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Chair's
Signature on Supplemental Agreement No. 2, extending the
NWC Jacobs Contract to July 31, 2017
BACKGROUND: In late 2015, Public Works began working on a watershed
assessment for the Naneum, Wilson Cheng Creek
Assessment Phase 1 (NWC) grant. The work is essentially
complete and Recreation Conservation Office (RCO) is
requesting a time extension allowing additional time for
technical advisory group (TAG) members to comment on
final plan recommendations. Public Works is currently
evaluating the potential need to fund one final stakeholder
meeting of the TAG. Action extending the grant deadline
is required at this time. If supplemental funding is required
to deliver a final stakeholder meeting, Public Works will
prepare a contract supplement and return to the Board of
County Commission for authorization.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chairman's signature extending the NWC
grant deadline to July 31, 2017.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works

RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -
TITLE: Contract Supplement No. 2 with Jacobs — Naneum, Wilson, Cherry Creeks
Watershed Assessment Phase 1
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commission entered into a contract with Jacobs
Engineering Group for producing a watershed assessment for the Naneum,
Wilson Cherry Creek watersheds via Resolution 2015-154; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commission extended the timeline for delivery of grant
products to May 31, 2017 owing to low water conditions in 2015; and
WHEREAS: The Recreation Conservation Office is requesting a time extension of the
Naneum, Wilson, Cherry Creek Watershed Assessment Phase 1 allowing
additional time for technical advisory group comment on final plan
recommendations; and
WHEREAS: Jacobs Engineering Group is willing to extend the grant deadline to July 31, 2017
without altering the current project budget;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chairman's signature on Supplement No.2,
Jacobs Engineering Group extending the deadline for final deliverables associated with the
Naneum, Wilson, Cherry Creek Watershed Assessment Phase 1 to July 31, 2017.

Description of Work
This supplement modifies the agreement to extend the completion date from May 31, 2017 to July 31, 2017.
The overall budget is unchanged.
The Local Agency of Kittitas County Public Works
desires to supplement the agreement entered in to with Jacobs Engineering Group (W3X70200)
and executed on January 06 2015 and identified as Agreement No. Kittitas County #
All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:
Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read:
This supplement 02 extends the project end date by one month. This supplement does not change the scope of
work, budget, or assumptions agreed to under the existing LAG Contract.
Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days
for completion of the work to read: Project completion date is changed from 05/31/2017 to 07/31/17

Section V, PAYMENT, shall be amended as follows:

This Scope of Work supplements the existing approved Scope by extending the project end date from May 31,
2017 to July 31, 2017. This one-month extension will allow review of the final summary report by the Technical
Advisory Group. This is a no -cost change order.
