ACTION REQUESTED: Request Chairs Signature on Change Order No. 1 to the
Professional Service Agreement with Architects
Rasmussen Triebelhorn for conducting feasibility study and
predesign for locating a new courthouse on the Northeast
corner of Water and 6th Ave, in Ellensburg, Washington.
BACKGROUND: In 2015 the County Commissioner approved a Professional Service
Agreement to begin looking into the County’s space needs for a new County Courthouse.
During 2015 and 2016 Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn interviewed departments and
compiled the space needs information into a report and presented it to the Board.
In our 2017 budget process the Commissioners approved proceeding with the next phase
of the project.
Change Order No. 1 is to start the predesign phase of the project, which will include
adjacency diagrams, preliminary design floor plans and site plan, along with a rough
order of magnitude project cost estimate and budget.
INTERACTION: Solid Waste/Maintenance Department and Architects Rasmussen
Triebelhorn.
RECOMMENDATION: Chairs signature.
