KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 16, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Chairs Signature on Change Order No. 1 to the <br />Professional Service Agreement with Architects <br />Rasmussen Triebelhorn for conducting feasibility study and <br />predesign for locating a new courthouse on the Northeast <br />corner of Water and 6th Ave, in Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: In 2015 the County Commissioner approved a Professional Service <br />Agreement to begin looking into the County’s space needs for a new County Courthouse. <br />During 2015 and 2016 Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn interviewed departments and <br />compiled the space needs information into a report and presented it to the Board. <br /> <br />In our 2017 budget process the Commissioners approved proceeding with the next phase <br />of the project. <br /> <br />Change Order No. 1 is to start the predesign phase of the project, which will include <br />adjacency diagrams, preliminary design floor plans and site plan, along with a rough <br />order of magnitude project cost estimate and budget. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Solid Waste/Maintenance Department and Architects Rasmussen <br />Triebelhorn. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Chairs signature. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one signed copy <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Change order no. 1 <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance Director. <br />
