KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 16, 2017 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize Submittal of <br />United States Bureau of Reclamation Irrigation Canal <br />Crossing Permit <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In early 2017, the Board of County Commission approved <br />the Big Creek PUD. A condition of approval requires the <br />applicant construct a public bridge crossing the United <br />States Bureau of Reclamation (US BoR) irrigation canal at <br />Lund Lane. The US BoR prefers the County act as <br />applicant for the canal crossing permit. Staff has prepared <br />the required permit and is now ready to submit for BoR <br />consideration. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize staff submit the canal crossing permit to BoR. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit 1: Canal Crossing Permit <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Mark R.
