PROCLAMATION
Kittitas High School Boys Basketball Team
2017 State B Champions Day – April 24, 2017
WHEREAS: the Kittitas High School Boys’ Basketball team went undefeated with a record of 24 wins
and 0 losses during their 2016-2017 season play; and
WHEREAS: the Kittitas High School Boys Basketball team took first place in their League, District,
and Regionals and qualified for the 2B State High School Basketball Tournament in
Spokane, Washington from March 3, 2017 through March 5, 2017; and
WHEREAS: on March 5, 2017 the Kittitas High School boys basketball team defeated the Liberty
Lancers in the State Championship game with a score of 72-69; and
WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners would like to recognize the Kittitas High
School Boys Basketball Team members Caleb Harris, Justin Hudson, Cole Lenihan, Bryan
Arnold, Andrew Driver, Bailey Gibson, Christian Mata, Connor Brown, Tyson Dekoning,
Drew Lamb, Martin Arreola and Brock Ravet along with their coaches and assistants for
their accomplishments over the past few months and for their hard work, dedication, and
love for the sport of basketball;
WHEREAS: these young men not only brought home a State Championship for their school, but served
as ambassadors for Kittitas County as they played throughout their season;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of Commissioners would like to request that the
citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring the 2017 Kittitas High School Boys’
Basketball Team and Proclaim April 24, 2017 as “Kittitas High School Boys Basketball Team 2B State
Champions Day” in Kittitas County.
