AGENDA DATE: April 4, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set Public Hearing for Proposed Development Agreement for the
Financing for Processing the Planned Unit Development of Marion
Meadows.
BACKGROUND: Marion Meadows is a proposed planned unit development in the Easton area
originally applied for in 2007. Applicants provided funds to the County to complete
an EIS for the project, and were in the process of completing the preliminary
proposal. The County indicated to the applicant on February 4, 2016 that a number
of items would have to completed for final approval by September 2016 or the
project would expire. Instead of providing the requested materials to the County to
process the original application, the applicant chose to allow the original project to
expire, and applied for a new planned unit development under current regulations.
The previous project had residual funds remaining in the account from previous
agreements to complete the project. The applicant has chosen to use those funds to
process the new proposal. A draft development agreement for the use of these funds
has been drafted and is available for hearing before the Commissioners. Staff is now
requesting that such hearing be set for 2:00 p.m. on April18, 2017.
