AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: April 4, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an
Interlocal Agreement between the City of Roslyn, Washington and the County of Kittitas,
Washington for the housing of inmates.
BACKGROUND: This Interlocal Agreement is between the City of Roslyn and Kittitas
County for the Housing of Inmates from January 1, 2017-December 31, 2018. The daily
rate is to be $61.25/day in 2017 and $62.50/day in 2018 (approximately a 2% increase).
There was a miscommunication with the city and they requested a change to the billing
process per the contract after the BOCC had already approved the contract. This was not
the fault of the city. KCSO CFM Seibert is resubmitting the Resolution and Interlocal
Agreement unchanged with the exception of the City’s billing address. The interlocal
agreement approved by Res 2017-015 is invalid and will not be entered into.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved
this Interlocal Agreement.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an
Interlocal Agreement between the City of Roslyn, Washington and the County of Kittitas,
Washington for the housing of inmates.
HANDLING: Please return both originals to KCSO for signatures. KCSO will return
one original to the Clerk for their records once it is fully executed.
