ACTION REQUESTED:
The Board of County Commissioners approves the 2017 Request for Proposals for Information and
Education Funds.
BACKGROUND:
Kittitas County contracts with the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Administration to provide
services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the county. A portion of that contract is dedicated
to indirect client services. Kittitas County is currently seeking proposals for informing and educating the
general public about developmental disabilities and related services during July 1, 2017-June 30, 2019
biennium. The total funding for proposals is approximately $40,000.00 annually and is subject to change
due to funding availability. Funding is awarded to one or more proposal. The DD program will receive all
applications, review with the Disabilities Advisory Committee, and make recommendations to the BOCC
who will make final determination.
