BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />R E S O L U T I O N <br /> <br />NO. 2017- ____ <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution to Authorize Allocation of Kittitas County General and Grant Funds for <br />Consulting Services from CREA Affiliates, LLC for Land Use Planning and Regulation <br />Review Services <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The County is required to update its existing Comprehensive Plan by June 30, <br />2017 according to State Administrative Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The County provided within its 2017 budget an amount from the General Fund to <br />update the Comprehensive Plan and its Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO) to meet <br />this requirement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The State Department of Commerce awarded the County a $48,000 grant to aid <br />in the completion of the Plan and update of its implementing regulations to meet <br />State law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The County on December 16, 2016 issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) and <br />Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and has reviewed and interviewed within the <br />month of February 2017 consultants that responded to the RFP; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: After interviewing the applicant consultants, the Community Services Department <br />Director and the Planning Official has chosen the firm CREA Affiliates, LLC to <br />provide aid in the completion of the Comprehensive Plan and update of the <br />implementing regulations; and . <br /> <br />WHEREAS: A Scope of Work and estimated cost of such work has been supplied to the <br />County by CREA which has been reviewed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby approve a Professional Services Agreement <br />with CREA Affiliates, LLC for planning services as outlined in the attachment . <br /> <br />DATED this ___ day of ___________, 2017 at Ellensburg, W ashington. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
