RCO staff completed the requested project amendment in late February 2017. RCO staff expressed a desire for document execution by early March 2017. Public Works staff secured the Chair's signature on RCO documents on March 1, 2017. INTERACTION: Public Works RECOMMENDATION: Ratify the Chair's signature on RCO project agreement number 16-1860C. Ecology approved this amendment to change the project scope and reduce funding. This project is amended to remove fee simple and conservation easement acquisition of the Stroh properties, add acquisition of the Stalder/Sparks property (this was previously just an assessment of value), and remove preliminary designs and permits for a habitat restoration project on the Stroh properties (since they will no longer be acquired). The total compensation is decreased by $ 500,000 from $988,452 to $488,452. The project title will be revised in a separate amendment. Project Funding: The total cost of the project for the purpose of this Agreement changes as follows Agreement Terms In all other respects the Agreement, to which this is an Amendment, and attachments thereto, shall remain in full force and effect. WAC 420 Amendment Agreement Description Project Sponsor: Kittitas County Public Works Project Title: Ringer Loop Acquisitions and Design Project Number: 16-1860 C Amendment Number: 1 Agreement Description Kittitas County will acquire fee simple title to one 40 acre and one 20 acre property along the Ringer Loop reach of the Yakima River, south of Ellensburg. The goal of the project is to protect and expand riparian habitat and to facilitate future off -channel fish habitat enhancement and road decommissioning. Fish that are targeted to benefit from the project include steelhead, spring Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, and Cutthroat Trout.
