KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 7, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Claim of Jack Leeper. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The claimant, Jack Leeper, (“Mr. Leeper”) claims a county <br />snowblower damaged his house by directing a large amount of snow <br />towards his house. The total amount of the claim is $2060.48 <br />Kittitas County Claim #201702080017. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works confirms the county was engaged in snow removal <br />operations at the time and place listed in the claim. Public Works also <br />acknowledges it is likely the county caused the damage claimed. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Public Works recommends approving Kittitas County Claim <br />#201702080017, conditioned on receiving a signed release of all <br />claims from Mr. Leeper. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Auditor <br /> Copy – Prosecutor <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Claim of Jack Leeper <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Christopher Horner, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney <br /> Mark Cook, Public Works Director <br />
