AGENDA DATE: March 7, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Claim of Jack Leeper.
BACKGROUND: The claimant, Jack Leeper, (“Mr. Leeper”) claims a county
snowblower damaged his house by directing a large amount of snow
towards his house. The total amount of the claim is $2060.48
Kittitas County Claim #201702080017.
INTERACTION: Public Works confirms the county was engaged in snow removal
operations at the time and place listed in the claim. Public Works also
acknowledges it is likely the county caused the damage claimed.
RECOMMENDATION: Public Works recommends approving Kittitas County Claim
#201702080017, conditioned on receiving a signed release of all
claims from Mr. Leeper.
