STATE OF WASHINGTON
PROCLAMATION
PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF APRIL 3-9 2017 AS
NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK
WHEREAS: The week of April 3-9, 2017 is National Public Health Week,
sponsored by “Healthiest Nation 2030”; and
WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Public Health Department will support and
recognize national Public Health Week 2017, and work to preserve,
promote, and improve the health of this country in order to create the
healthiest nation in one generation; and
WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Public Health Department, in the public interest
of its residents, will work towards preventing the spread of disease,
promoting physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and support public
health systems; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners here do by proclaim the week of April 3 -9 , 2017 as National Public
Health Week, and urge all residents to recognize its significance, and its mission to
“Get People Moving” in order to become a happier and healthier United States by
2030.
