AGENDA DATE: February 21, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Set a Public Hearing to Consider a Non -Exclusive
Irrigation Franchise with Zac Withers along Denmark
Road.
BACKGROUND: Public Works received a Franchise Application from
Zac Withers to place an irrigation pipe along
Denmark Road.
The request details the intent to install a four inch
pressurized Schedule C Pipe two feet deep along the
county ROW. The applicant plans to attach to the
Ellensburg Water Co. head gate and deliver water to
4361 Denmark Rd per the attached exhibits.
Public Works has worked with the applicant to
develop a proposal that would satisfy any
requirements we may impose and address any other
concerns.
We now request to set a public hearing to discuss the
proposal, present the applicants design documents,
and seek direction from the BOCC and how to
proceed.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Set a public hearing on March 21ST, 2017 at 2pm to
consider a Non Exclusive Irrigation Franchise with
Zac Withers along Denmark Road.
HANDLING: Return signed copy of public hearing notice to Public
Works

The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners will meet at 2:00 pm on March 21, 2017 in the
Commissioner's Auditorium located at the Kittitas County Courthouse, 205 W. 5th, Room 109,
Ellensburg, Washington to consider an Non -Exclusive Irrigation Franchise with Zac Withers along
Denmark Road.
