AGENDA DATE: October 17, 2017
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) review Grant
Applications and consider the Homelessness and Affordable Housing
Committee’s (HAHC) recommendation for allocations towards the
Homelessness and Affordable Housing Grant Applications for 2018.
BACKGROUND: The HAHC received five Grant Applications requesting funding for
homelessness and affordable housing projects. The committee
submitted clarifying questions to the applicants and invited them to an
open public meeting on 9-20-17 to address these questions.
INTERACTION: During the regularly scheduled meeting of the HAHC on 9-27-17, the
committee reviewed the grant applications submitted, and the
supplemental information provided by the applicants. The HAHC
voted to recommend allocating up to $500,000.00 towards the
Homelessness and Affordable Housing grants; $400,000.00 from the
Homelessness account and $100,000.00 from the Affordable Housing
account.
RECOMMENDATION: Review Grant Applications and consider the HAHC’s
recommendation for allocations towards the Homelessness and
Affordable Housing Grant Applications for 2018.
