Action Requested: Approve resolution assenting to interlocal agreement.
Background: The County and CWU entered into a lease for property at the airport in 1992. The
lease requires county consent for subleases and requires CWU's uses of the premises to be for
educational purposes. CWU wishes to enter into an interlocal agreement with the DNR to
provide parking for a helicopter during the fire season. This agreement is legally probably a
revocable license, not a lease, and so the county's consent is not required. However, the use is
not educational, and so it is appropriate for the county to assent to such an agreement.
Interaction: Emails with CWU's representative, Kimberly Homer, and discussion with PW
Director Cook.
Recommendation: Approve resolution assenting to interlocal agreement.
