Kittitas County Prosecutor <br />Agenda Staff Report <br />Agenda Date: 5/2/2017 <br />Action Requested: Approve resolution assenting to interlocal agreement. <br />Background: The County and CWU entered into a lease for property at the airport in 1992. The <br />lease requires county consent for subleases and requires CWU's uses of the premises to be for <br />educational purposes. CWU wishes to enter into an interlocal agreement with the DNR to <br />provide parking for a helicopter during the fire season. This agreement is legally probably a <br />revocable license, not a lease, and so the county's consent is not required. However, the use is <br />not educational, and so it is appropriate for the county to assent to such an agreement. <br />Interaction: Emails with CWU's representative, Kimberly Homer, and discussion with PW <br />Director Cook. <br />Recommendation: Approve resolution assenting to interlocal agreement. <br />Lead staff: Neil caulkins
