KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 16t", 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Declare the <br />named equipment surplus not to the County's needs, <br />thereby eligible for trade-in and authorize the <br />Director of Public Works to dispose of said equipment <br />in accordance with RCW 36-34-070. <br />BACKGROUND: The following used equipment is budgeted for surplus <br />and replacement for 2018: <br />E.R. & R. #602 2006 MORBARK - Wood Chipper <br />VIN# 4885716106W040485 <br />E.R. & R. #412 2008 VTLEEBOY/RB48 - Sweeper <br />VIN# 485051094 <br />Public Works has followed the process for the trade in <br />of equipment accompanying purchases off of the State <br />contract as provided by the Prosecuting Attorney's <br />office. <br />The wood chipper trade in is estimated at $13,000 and <br />the sweeper which has a blown motor is estimated at <br />$4,000. Both values are in line with the anticipated <br />and adopted budget values. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Director of Public Works to dispose of <br />said equipment by means of trade in conjunction with <br />the purchase of new equipment. <br />LEAD STAFF: Lucas Huck, County Engineer <br />
