KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.__2018-____ <br /> <br />A Resolution correcting the levying certification for the General Fund <br /> for municipal purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the year 2018 according <br />to the assessed valuation as determined in the year 2017. <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has met and considered its budget for <br />the calendar year 2018; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners, after hearing and after duly <br />considering all relevant evidence and testimony presented, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2017-189 certifying the levy <br />amounts to be collected in 2018 as provided in the County’s budget as follows: <br /> <br />General Fund (Current Expense) $7,900,000 <br /> Community Services 155,000 <br />Veterans Assistance 45,000 <br /> Total $8,100,000 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the levy rate for the Community Services portion of the General Fund levy, as <br />prescribed by RCW 71.20.110 and RCW 84.55, needs to be calculated based upon a flat levy of .025 per <br />thousand dollars assessed value or the levy amount may be increased or reduced in the same proportion as <br />compared to the prior year’s certified county general levy. <br /> <br /> WHERAS, the County Assessor’s calculation shows the Community Services levy for collection in <br />2018 should be $156,750, for a difference of $1,750. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, in accordance with RCW 84.52.020, the Board of County <br />Commissioners for Kittitas County, do hereby certify that the following levy amounts be collected in 2018 as <br />provided in the County’s budget; and corrected by this Resolution: <br /> <br /> General Fund (Current Expense) $7,898,260 <br /> Community Services 156,740 <br />Veterans Assistance 45,000 <br /> Total $8,100,000 <br /> <br /> DATED, this 16th day of January 2018. <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br />______________________________ <br />Chairperson <br /> <br />______________________________ <br />Vice-Chairman <br />ATTEST: <br />______________________________ <br />Commissioner <br />_______________________________ <br />Clerk of the Board
