KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 15, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards approval for Chairs signature on Change Order 2 for <br />the Cle Elum Transfer Station Driveway Improvements and Tank <br />Replacement Project. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The County awarded a bid for the Cle Elum Transfer Station Project <br />to Gibson and Son Road Building. <br /> <br /> During the construction of the project several items were encountered <br />and needed to be addressed. <br />1) Adjust Manhole and gas valve at the new entrance <br />2) Added loading dock for white goods area <br />3) Add Quarry Spalls for track off area <br />4) Add CB at Tank inlet <br />5) Add Junction Box <br />6) Relocate ecology blocks <br />For a total increase of $72,648.68. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Facilities and Waste Operations Director, and SCJ Alliance. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards approval for chairs signature on Change order <br />No. 2 for the Cle Elum Transfer Station Driveway Improvement and <br />Tank Replacement project. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Return copy to Solid Waste <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Change Order 2 <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities and Waste Operations Director <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
