Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />August 15, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to authorize contract amendment for <br />a Contract between Kittitas County and Kittitas County Friends of Animals. (Effective: <br />01.01.25-12.31.27) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Amendment to the KC Friends of Animals agreement updates the scope of work. The 1/10th <br />of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax funding award to private financial <br />veterinary assistance to animals owned by youth, veterans, and seniors in Kittitas County. The <br />amendment extends the termination date to December 31, 2027and compensation will increase <br />from 60,000.00 to 90,000.00. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved August 24, 2026. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved August 24, 2026. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to authorize contract amendment for <br />a Contract between Kittitas County and Kittitas County Friends of Animals.
