KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 1, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize and sign the Resolution allowing reimbursement from the <br />Ryegrass Balefill Post-Closure Reserve. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Solid Waste has paid eligible Ryegrass Balefill post- <br />closure cost from Solid Waste operating revenues. An August 12, 2026 <br />Parametrix review identified $387,209.89 in supportable cost. The <br />Resolution authorizes reimbursement to the appropriate Solid Waste <br />operating fund from the Ryegrass Balefill Post Closure Reserve. <br />INTERACTION: Kittitas County Solid Waste, Auditors and County administration. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize and sign the Resolution allowing reimbursement from the <br />Ryegrass Balefill Post Closure Reserve <br />HANDLING: Return a Copy to the Solid Waste Dept <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution Authorizing Reimbursement from the Ryegrass Balefill Post <br />Closure Reserve, Balefill Cost Allocation Memo <br />LEAD STAFF: Jesse Cox, Incoming Solid Waste Director <br />
