KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 1, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Board approval to set a public hearing to consider adoption of <br />the proposed Solid Waste Fee Schedule on October 6, 2026. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Solid Waste has prepared a proposed fee schedule to <br />address current operating cost of the ryegrass septage lagoons and add a <br />new compost product rate. A public hearing will provide an opportunity <br />for the Board to receive public comments before considering adoption. <br />INTERACTION: Kittitas County Solid Waste, and County administration. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize a public hearing on October 6th 2026 to consider adoption of <br />the proposed Solid Waste fee schedule. <br />HANDLING: Request Clerk advertise the public hearing. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Proposed resolution setting the new fee schedule rate. <br />LEAD STAFF: Jesse Cox, Incoming Solid Waste Director <br />
