Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />September 1, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to Authorize and Interlocal <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and The Washington State Department of Ecology and The <br />Washington State Department of Health for the Regional Onsite Sewage System Loan Program. <br />(Effective Date: Upon signature- no end date- but term with 30 days written notice) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The professional services agreement is to establish for the purpose of providing a program to <br />offer loan assistance to citizens of the participating local jurisdictions to address failing or <br />malfunctioning on-site sewage systems to protect public health and water quality. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved 08/05/2026. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved 08/05/2026. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to Authorize and Interlocal <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and The Washington State Department of Ecology and The <br />Washington State Department of Health for the Regional Onsite Sewage System Loan Program. <br />(Effective Date: Upon signature- no end date- but term with 30 days written notice) <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />N/A <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Melissa Schumaier <br />
