Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />June 16, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approval of the resolution between Kittitas County and the City of Ellensburg to authorize <br />funding for the one-time 2026 opioid abatement request for proposal projects including the <br />Kittitas County Alano Club, Kittitas County Health Network, Kittitas County Jail, and Peers <br />Rising. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County and the City of Ellensburg joined in the settlement claims against pharmaceutical <br />supply chain participants, which resulted in funding to be used for opioid abatement strategies. <br />The county and the city executed an interlocal agreement and pooled funding for a one-time <br />2026 Opioid Abatement Request for Proposal (RFP). <br />The RFP submissions include the following: <br />Kittitas County Alano Club, $16,813 <br />Kittitas County Health Network, $98,922.91, <br />Kittitas County Jail, $98,635 <br />Peers Rising, $94,202.9 <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Yes <br />Kittitas County Auditors: No <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approval of the resolution between Kittitas County and the City of Ellensburg to authorize <br />funding for the one-time 2026 opioid abatement request for proposal projects including the <br />Kittitas County Alano Club, Kittitas County Health Network, Kittitas County Jail, and Peers <br />Rising. <br />HANDLING: <br />N/A <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Kasey Knutson <br />
