<br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />2026- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF THE LOWER KITTITAS <br />COUNTY TRANSFER STATION ON JULY 13, 2026 <br /> <br />WHEREAS: pursuant to RCW 36.16.100 and KCC 2.20.010, the Kittitas County Board <br />of Commissioners has the authority to approve changes by Resolution in <br />the days and hours that County offices shall be kept open for the <br />transaction of business; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Lower Kittitas <br />County Transfer Station, located at 1001 Industrial Way, Ellensburg, WA, <br />to be closed to the public on July 13, 2026; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: said closure will be for the purpose of facilitating the relocation of <br />departmental operations, equipment, records, and associated functions to <br />the new Kittitas County Transfer Station location, to ensure an orderly and <br />efficient transition of services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The new Kittitas County Transfer Station, located at 2603 W Green Ave., <br />Ellensburg, WA, will resume regular operating hours on July 14th, 2026 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners <br />hereby approves and authorizes a change to the regular hours of service offered at the Lower <br />Kittitas County Transfer Station, such that the Lower Kittitas County Transfer Station, currently <br />located at 1001 Industrial Way, Ellensburg, WA, will be closed to the public on July 13, 2026, <br />and will re-open to the public at the new Kittitas County Transfer Station location on July 14, <br />2026. <br /> <br />Dated this 2nd day of June 2026. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />
