KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 5, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the Resolution to give Darren <br />Higashiyama signature authority to complete USDA Congressionally Directed Spending <br />forms to receive this funding. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Darren Higashiyama, Kittitas County Emergency Manager, met with <br />USDA representative and received notice that USDA Form RD 1942-46 Letter of Intent <br />to Meet Conditions, Form 1940-3 Request for Obligation of Funds and Form <br />Certification of Compliance shall be authorized by resolution and delivered to USDA. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The items above have been reviewed by the Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to approve the Resolution to give Darren <br />Higashiyama signature authority to complete USDA Congressionally Directed Spending <br />forms to receive this funding. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff
