KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: March 17, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution to Award the <br />2026 Annual Paint Stripe Program Contract. <br />BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works issued a notice of <br />call for bids February 17, 2026, for the 2026 Annual <br />Paint Stripe Program. Sealed Bids were publicly <br />opened on March 5, 2026, at 10:00am, at Public <br />Works. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Two (2) qualified bids were received for the <br />prescribed work. The lowest responsive bid was <br />from Specialized Pavement Marking, LLC in the <br />amount of $399,561.20. The Engineer's Estimate <br />for the work was $431,928.73. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Award the 2026 Annual <br />Paint Stripe Program Contract and authorize the <br />Public Works Director to sign said contract <br />documents. <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Return one original to Public Works <br />Resolution; Bid Tabulations <br />Joshua Fredrickson <br />Director <br />
