BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO.: 2025 - Alu <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AI\I INTERDEPARTMENTAL <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE KITTITAS COUNTY TREASURER AIID COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS: Under RCW 36.32.120(11) and KCC 18.02.030, the recording of special <br />assessments on parcels of properlry in Kittitas County is authorized following <br />the abatement of public nuisances; and <br />WHEREAS: Under RCW 84.56.035, Kittitas County Community Development Services <br />(*CDS") is authorized to contract for the administration and collection of <br />such assessments with the County Treasurer ("KCT"), who is authorized to <br />collect l% of the dollar value of the special assessments as reimbursement for <br />expenses incurred by the County Assessor and KCT in said administration <br />and collection; and <br />WHEREAS: Under RCW 84.64.050, after the expiration of three years from the date of <br />delinquency, when a property remains on the tax rolls, KCT is authorized to <br />include in the certificate of delinquency any assessments which are due on the <br />property; and d <br />WHEREAS: As detailed in the attached interdepartmental agreement, the KCT and CDS <br />provide administration and collection of the special assessment as defined and <br />authorized under RCW 36.32.nA01), 84.56.035, and KCC 18.02.030. <br />NOW, THBREFORE BE IT RESOLYED that the Kittitas County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby authorizes execution of the attached interdepartmental agreement <br />between KCT and CDS. <br />ADOPTED tni" 4fua^v rr NsVUfrh)/2a2l atEllensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />, wAsrrrNGToN <br />lrnan
