KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 16, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request approval of chairs signature on AIA Document G701 – 2017, <br />Change Order 005. For an additional 3,100 SF/LF of façade repair. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Jail concrete repair has been completed. During repairs the <br />damage was discovered to be more extensive than thought. Because <br />of this, an additional 3,100 SF/LF of facade repair was required. The <br />board has been made aware of this additional work along the way. <br />Belsaas and Smith’s unit price was reduced for this additional work to <br />$85.50 per SF/LF resulting in a net increase of $265,050. <br />Knit Architects, Belsaas & Smith, and Maintenance have reviewed <br />documents. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approval of Chairs Signature of AIA Document G701-2017 Change <br />Order Number 005 <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br />Copy – Auditor <br />ATTACHMENTS: AIA Document G701-2017 Change Order Number 005 <br />LEAD STAFF: Cody Cupp, Assistant Maintenance Director
