11/25/2025 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 PM NOVEMBER 25, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Cori McKean, Appointed <br />Coroner; Bryan Elliott, Auditor; and 2 members of the public. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: NONE <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING CORONER APPOINTMENT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to consider <br />a recommendation from the Republican Party for the appointment of <br />County Coroner. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith said he was the Secretary of the Kittitas <br />County Republican Party, and the members met on November 19 th at a <br />Special Meeting to interview, rank, and make a formal recommendation <br />on their preferred candidate to fulfill the open Coroner position. <br />Cori McKean was the only candidate to come forward for appointment <br />and was unanimously voted for by all members present to fill the <br />remaining term in office. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wright moved to appoint Cori McKean to the position of <br />Kittitas County Coroner, for the remainder of the term, effective <br />immediately. Commissioner Wachsmith seconded.
