KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 2nd, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Selah, Washington and the County of Kittitas, <br />Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />BACKGROUND: This Interlocal Agreement is between the City of Selah and Kittitas <br />County for the Housing of Inmates from date fully executed until December 31, 2027, <br />subject to earlier termination as provided in the Agreement. The daily rate proposed is <br />$110.00/day in 2026 and 2027. The rate of compensation for any inmate requiring <br />additional or specialized conditions of incarceration to the extent that they must be placed <br />alone in a single cell designed for double occupancy shall be $220.00/day in 2026 and <br />2027. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved <br />this Interlocal Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Selah, Washington and the County of Kittitas, <br />Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />HANDLING: Please return 1 signed original to KCSO.
