KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 4th, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Approve agreement between Kittitas County and MWA Architects, Inc (Document B121 and B221 uploaded) <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: December 2024 $40,000.00 funds were encumbered into 2025 Coroner Budget for a feasibility study to build a morgue. RFQ advertised produced three firms interested in participating. Local partners involved in the discussion of building a new facility selected the firm with the most experience building for coroner's offices and at airports, MWA Architects, Inc. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Interested parties Kittitas County Coroner, Kittitas County Public Health, Kittitas County Public Works, and Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue have met twice and discussed their needs.
