<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Kittitas County board of commissioners (BOCC) in the Commissioner’s Auditorium, 205 West 5th Ave, Room 109, Kittitas County Courthouse on December 2, 2025. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The purpose of the public hearing is to review 1/10th of 1% tax funding for mental health (MH) and substance use disorder (SUD) programs and services in Kittitas County, receive comments on the use of 1/10th MH and SUD funding to date, and receive comments about the future of the tax funding. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />On December 7, 2021, the BOCC held a public hearing and implemented the 1/10th tax of 1% sales tax for mental health and chemical dependency (substance use disorder). With implementation, the BOCC set a 2027 sunset clause with the goal of gathering data and show community impact with this tax funding. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Information about the tax and programs and services, can be found via the Kittitas County Public Health Department website.
