KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />BOCC AGENDA <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AUDITOR <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: 9/16/2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a resolution formalizing the level of use of “REET <br />1” revenues for debt-Services costs relating to the construction of a new transfer station <br />facility. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County will construct a new lower county transfer station. “REET <br />1” revenues are authorized for repayment of loan PC23-96103-132 secured for the construction of <br />the lower county transfer station. The amount of support is to be 75% of the loan’s annual debt <br />service and is subject to the annual appropriations process. The level of support is to continue for <br />the duration of the loan. This resolution is to amend the commitment made in resolution 2023 - <br />155 by setting a consistent the level of debt service to be provided via “REET 1” revenue. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s office has reviewed and approved the <br />Resolution. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution formalizing the level of use of “REET 1” <br />revenues for debt services cost related to the construction of the new transfer station <br />facility. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please return a signed resolution to the Auditors’ Finance office. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT: Resolution <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Zack DeHaven <br />
